Palau Música Catalana

 Tonight my class went to a Flamenco and Opera show at the famous Palau Música Catalana, a massive, early-1900s music hall. Our history teacher was raving about this place because the building is awesome (it's a world heritage site), it allegedly has the best acoustics in the world, and she loves Flamenco. She set the bar pretty high, but the evening did not disappoint.

It was quite an experience -- we sat up high in the second balcony and watched the 6-piece band play some intense, passion-filled songs. The guitar player was incredible. There were three singers and four dancers who would come on in different combinations. Tonight was probably the most "cultural" excursion we've had. My favorite part was the amazing music hall architecture. Here are some photos (click a photo to enlarge):
